Ethel Maritime LTD was founded by two experienced maritime professionals who have dedicated their careers to seafaring, ship operations and crew management.

Together, the founders bring 68 years of maritime experience. Their shared objective is to provide shipowners, ship managers, operators and their authorised representatives with reliable, transparent and responsible seafarer recruitment and placement services.

Capt. M. Aydın Soylu
Co-Founder, Shareholder and Director

Capt. M. Aydın Soylu is a maritime professional with 43 years of experience in the shipping industry, covering both sea-going service and shore-based maritime management.

Throughout his career, he has held responsible positions including Marine Superintendent, Personnel Department Manager and Company Security Officer (CSO). His experience encompasses vessel operations, crew management, personnel administration, maritime security, safety management and regulatory compliance.

Following his long-standing career in the maritime sector, Capt. M. Aydın Soylu became a co-founder and shareholder of Ethel Maritime LTD and serves as the company’s Director.

Capt. T. Erdim Karakoç
Co-Founder, Shareholder and Deputy Director

Capt. T. Erdim Karakoç is an experienced maritime professional with 25 years of sea-going and shore-based experience in the shipping industry.

During his career, he has served in crew and personnel management positions within maritime companies, including Personnel Manager. His experience includes seafarer employment, crew planning, personnel administration, candidate evaluation and the coordination of crew-related operations.

His practical understanding of the needs of seafarers and the operational expectations of shipowners and managers contributes significantly to the company’s recruitment and placement services. Capt. T. Erdim Karakoç is a co-founder and shareholder of Ethel Maritime LTD and serves as Deputy Director.

Capt. Barbaros İŞLEYEN
Maritime Advisor

Capt. Barbaros İşleyen serves as a Maritime Advisor to Ethel Maritime LTD, drawing on 24 years of sea-going and shore-based experience, including service as a Master and Personnel Manager.

His operational and managerial background in vessel operations, crew management, personnel planning and the practical requirements of the maritime industry supports the company’s recruitment, placement and operational assessment activities.

Capt. Bahadır İŞCAN
Maritime Advisor

Capt. Bahadır İŞCAN will support ETHEL MARITIME LTD as Maritime Advisor, bringing 23 years of professional experience gained both sea-going and shore-based. Following his service as a Marine Superintendent and Designated Person Ashore (DPA) in shore based maritime companies, he continues to carry out his duties successfully as General Manager.
